C Section Massage Results

"When I first saw Maddi, I was struggling with pelvic floor pain, flared ribs, nerve numbness and pain through my abdomen post c-section. After only three sessions, the improvement has been remarkable. My abdominal and pelvic pain has substantially improved, and I have far less pulling and stinging around my c-section scar. I genuinely feel like my core and tummy have “come alive” again.  I cannot believe the changes in my body since starting treatment and I would recommend Maddi's c-section massage work to anyone who has undergone a c-section, regardless of whether they have experienced complications or not.

Beyond her c-section work, Maddi is truly the best massage therapist I have ever been to. Maddi's massages not only feel incredible in the moment, but also create lasting, tangible improvements in how your body feels and functions.  During my pregnancy, Maddi all but resolved my severe pelvic girdle pain and made it possible for me to continue living a relatively normal life in pregnancy.  I’m incredibly grateful for the difference Maddi has made to my pregnancy, postpartum recovery journey, and my overall wellbeing.”

- Miranda (6 months Post Partum)

"I honestly can’t recommend Maddi enough. From the first appointment I felt completely comfortable and cared for. She was so warm and welcoming, and the space itself felt calm, cosy and really inviting.

Maddi was genuinely interested in me, my recovery and how I was feeling, which made such a difference especially for a new mum recovering from a c section. I never felt rushed or like “just another client.” Maddi is incredibly knowledgeable and explained everything in a way that made sense and helped me feel at ease throughout the treatment.

The treatments were gentle but really effective, and I noticed a real improvement afterwards in my scar. I left each session feeling lighter, more comfortable and more connected to my body again. I’m so grateful I found Maddi and would absolutely recommend her to anyone recovering from a c-section or needing any TLC!”

What to Expect at Your First Appointment

  • 1. Initial Consultation

Maddi hears about your health history, pregnancy and birth experiences, scar history, symptoms, and your goals for abdominal massage.

This allows Maddi to understand your body as a whole and tailor the treatment to your individual needs.

  • 2. Initial Abdominal Massage

Within the same appointment, Maddi works from the rib cage down to the pelvic bone using slow, supportive massage techniques to release tension and restriction through the abdominal area.

The treatment focuses on improving circulation, mobility, breath connection, and nervous system regulation.

  • 3. Scar Release Therapy

Treatment will gently begin around the scar and surrounding tissues. Techniques such as therapeutic massage, cupping, and gua sha may be used to support scar mobility, reduce restriction, and encourage reconnection to the area over time.

  • 4. Reflection & Ongoing Support

At the end of your session, we’ll discuss how your body responded to treatment and any reflections from the appointment. Because this work is often cumulative, a minimum of three sessions is generally recommended to allow the body time to release, adapt, and build on each treatment.
